Graduate Assistant for Compliance
The position of Graduate Assistant for Compliance is responsible for directly assisting the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance with all aspects of administrative oversight, education, and monitoring of coaches, staff, and student-athletes as it pertains to NCAA rules and compliance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; monitor recruiting and practice logs; assist in oversight of student-athlete initial eligibility certification; perform data entry into NCAA and WIU databases; maintain organization and filing of NCAA, conference, and institutional documents; design, produce, and distribute rules education initiatives as needed; assist at home athletics events, and other duties as assigned. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Graduate assistant positions include a monthly stipend plus tuition (employment is contingent upon proof of admission to the Graduate School). The position of Graduate Assistant for External Relations will work closely with the Associate Athletic Director for Development and assist with development operations with responsibilities including writing and designing development plans, improving donor engagement, hosting donor events, and other duties as assigned. The External Relations GA will also work closely with the Director of Ticketing and Events to create and implement a comprehensive ticket plan, manage season ticket accounts, handle single-game sales and ticket window(s), and other duties as assigned. This position includes various game day duties and requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Experience with donor and ticketing software is a plus. Candidate must possess strong communication, interpersonal and creativity skills. Successful candidates must be willing and available to work some evenings and weekends. Previous experience in a collegiate or professional Development or Ticketing office preferred. Experience supervising student employees is also preferred.

The position of Graduate Assistant for Marketing and Promotions is responsible for directly assisting the Associate Athletic Director for External Relations with implementing all aspects of the Western Illinois Athletics Marketing plan. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to; working cooperatively with sponsors, overseeing game day promotions/events, maintaining Western Illinois Athletics advertising/promotion of events, and other duties as assigned. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills to emcee in-game promotions and the ability to work flexible hours.
