POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an energetic, highly organized, dynamic professional to join our LCC Team. Our institutions provide the highest quality education and service excellence in an environment of care, support, mutual respect, and integrity. Our Part Time Evening and Weekend Security will protect and secure the assets of Institution. Ensuring that all property is protected and secured and is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of all staff, students, and visitors on campus during scheduled shift. As an employee of, and the Colorado Community College System, this position is required to uphold and enforce the policies of LCC and CCCS, and all local, state and federal laws. This position will comply with all student privacy laws (FERPA); and is a mandatory reporter of any suspected illegal activity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with recruitment of student-athletes in accordance with NJCAA, Region IX, LCC, and CCCS rules, including coordinating official/unofficial visits and supporting admissions processes.
Support retention efforts by fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
Monitor, document, and report academic progress for all team members.
Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting team practices and skill sessions.
Attend and support all games, scrimmages, team events, and travel as assigned.
Prepare, maintain, and assist with the upkeep of athletic facilities, including the gymnasium and softball field.
Demonstrate and model sportsmanship, professionalism, and ethical conduct at all times.
Ensure compliance with FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act, CCCS policies, and all local, state, and federal laws.
Participate in institutional accreditation activities, including HLC work groups, team assignments, and Conversation Day as needed.
Serve on institutional committees as assigned.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Softball Coach and/or Athletic Director.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree from an accredited institution.
Experience playing softball at the collegiate level.
Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and travel.
Strong oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, colleagues, and students.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of NJCAA policies, rules, and compliance standards.
Previous softball coaching or assistant coaching experience.
