Miles Community College is seeking a dynamic and student-focused Head Men’s Baseball Coach to lead and advance the competitive success and academic achievement of our baseball program. This full-time, exempt position provides program leadership, including player development, recruitment, scheduling, budget oversight, and supervision of coaching staff.
Miles City is a welcoming eastern Montana community known for its strong support of MCC athletics. The College offers excellent athletic facilities, including baseball field, indoor practice and training space, and year-round access to conditioning resources. MCC Baseball has a proud legacy of success, producing championship-level teams, All-Region athletes, and numerous student-athletes who successfully transfer to four-year programs. The community takes great pride in Pioneer Baseball, creating an energetic and supportive environment for coaches and student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of the baseball program: player development, practice planning, game strategy, scheduling and travel.
Recruit student-athletes and support academic advising/eligibility to meet enrollment goals.
Manage program budget and document expenditures.
Ensure compliance with NJCAA rules and MCC policies.
Participate in fundraising activities, community engagement, and assigned campus committees.
Coaching experience at the high school or college level preferred.
Ability to plan practices, recruit athletes, manage a budget, and support athlete well-being, conditioning and injury response.
