Tusculum University, a NCAA Division II institution located in Greeneville, TN seeks qualified applicants for a graduate assistant position with Athletics – Fan Engagement. The Graduate Assistant for Fan Engagement supports the sports information department in creating a dynamic and engaging game-day atmosphere across all varsity sports. This position plays a key role in enhancing the fan experience through in-game marketing activations, music coordination, and promotional execution.
Primary Responsibilities: Plan and execute in-game marketing activations, promotions, and sponsorship elements, Coordinate pre-game and in-game music, including playlists and timing within game scripts, Assist in the management and promotion of the department’s fan engagement app to drive attendance and participation, Support game-day operations, including scripting, on-field/court promotions, and crowd engagement, Collaborate with marketing staff to develop promotional strategies and special event planning (e.g., theme nights, pack-the-arena initiatives), Assist with general athletic marketing initiatives, including social media coordination, campus outreach, and promotional material distribution, Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the athletics department.
Applicants must be able to work well with others, have outstanding communication, strong organizational, verbal, written and computer skills. The individual in this position must continuously be aware and mindful that all activities or actions shall uphold Tusculum University’s core values and commitment to compliance with NCAA, Conference and institutional rules and regulations.
This 12-month position requires a bachelor’s degree and admission to the graduate program in an officially recognized degree program at Tusculum University. This is a non-paying position however will provide tuition and possible housing.
