Responsibilities will include assisting the Director of Athletic Operations in all aspects of daily operations, maintaining a seamless facility scheduling system, ensuring a top tier game day experience, and coordinating intern and work study positions. A stipend, meal plan, housing, and tuition remission towards a graduate degree are available.

Key Duties and Tasks

* Help oversee all athletic facilities on a day-to-day basis pertaining to operations and maintenance.

* Help coordinate game-day operations for 23 NCAA sports.

* Work closely with campus partners to ensure venues are prepared for games, rentals and other events.

* Coordinate scheduling for all athletic facilities.

* This position will be the primary non-LRU Athletics event manager.

* Assist with strategic marketing and in-game event management with the goal of increasing ticket sales and attendance at athletic events.

* Supervise interns and work study positions.

* Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in sports management, communications or related field.
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in college athletics, preferably in external operations and/or event management.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the university.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Graduate assistants must be admitted to a Lenoir-Rhyne University graduate program.
