This position will be responsible for assisting the head coach in the following areas: organize/coordinate all team travel, assist with budget development, analysis, recap and balancing, coordinating recruiting visits, player/parent contact and communication, various duties related to the team/players, e.g. housing, etc. This position will oversee equipment management including inventory and staff apparel. Oversight of team manager(s). Coordinate all travel expense summaries, credit card statements, invoices, etc. Game day related duties, e.g. comp ticket lists, etc. Various other administrative duties. This position will have on court duties as allowed by NCAA legislation.

This position should have a knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment. In addition, the individual will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance prior to participating in select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent amount of education/experience is required.
• Knowledge of the sport of collegiate basketball, as demonstrated by collegiate basketball playing experience and/or past coaching experience is required.
• Experience working in intercollegiate athletics, preferably in an intercollegiate basketball program. Highly proficient in the use of internet and computer software applications (MS Office or equivalent).
• Experience in dealing with large volume travel practices and policies.
• Familiar with basic NCAA rules.
• Knowledgeable with computers and troubleshooting solutions.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• A valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.
