The Sugar Bowl Committee is accepting applications for a Marketing and Social Media Intern position in the Bowl’s office. The paid position is for 10 months, beginning in August and running through May. Marketing and Social Media Intern will support the Bowl’s marketing efforts through content creation, graphic design and social media engagement. Specific duties for the Sugar Bowl and its calendar of events will depend upon the background and experience of the applicant but will include work on the 2026 College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl and over 20 Committee sponsored events throughout the year. Creative Prompt: The Manning Award, presented by Allstate Sugar Bowl is an annual college football award presented to the nation’s top collegiate quarterback. It was created by the Sugar Bowl in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the player’s postseason performances in its balloting. The award is voted on by a panel of local and national media, as well as each of the Mannings.
Develop a social media strategy for announcing the Manning Award winner, including key messaging, content planning, and engagement tactics. The brief should outline the release timeline, platform-specific content, and possible creative assets such as copy, graphics, and video elements. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Strong understanding of social media platforms, including X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
Effective written and oral communications skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects preferred) or other graphic design platforms.
Postgraduate coursework
Prior practical collegiate athletics experience will receive priority consideration
Experience in photography and/or videography is advantageous but not essential
Mission: The Sugar Bowl's mission is to seek out, promote, finance, sponsor, schedule, conduct, and operate an annual calendar of local, state, national and international amateur and collegiate sporting events in the Greater New Orleans area and the State of Louisiana for the purpose of generating tourism. On January 1, 2026, the Organization will host the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the 92nd Annual Sugar Bowl Classic in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Membership and Staff: There are over 125 individuals comprising the current membership of the Sugar Bowl Committee. These members represent the Organization on various working committees designed to carry out the Sugar Bowl's mission. The Organization's day-to-day operations are conducted in its office located in the Caesars Superdome and are handled by a full-time staff of 12 employees.
