Reporting to the Senior Deputy Athletics Director/Chief Revenue Officer, the Director/Assistant Director of Donor Relations and Events is the primary stewardship liaison for the Mountaineers Athletic Fund (MAF). This position will devise and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship plan for both annual and leadership gifts.
Duties and Responsibilities Include: - Manage donor stewardship throughout the year, at events, and on game days. - Manage all athletic department event planning, fund reports related to each event, budgets, and communications. - Identify and complete program needs for events, budgets, travel, reconciliations, purchase orders, executive correspondence, and other areas as assigned. - Manage all donor hospitality areas during football and basketball games and any additional opportunities identified throughout the year. - Assist with our donor concierge program centered around our top giving levels. - Create and manage a budget for donor gifts and other stewardship ideas.
Bachelor’s degree
Three to five years of experience in fundraising, event planning, or a closely related/comparable field.
Demonstrated success in fundraising, event planning, and project management.
Ability to communicate effectively via phone and in-person meetings.
Experience in database management or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
Available for occasional travel including work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
