The Assistant Athletic Director for Development/Major Gifts primary function is to develop, organize, and implement the comprehensive strategy for all major gift fundraising efforts for the Blue Raider Athletic Association (BRAA). This includes the fulfillment, execution, and budget oversight of the Sapphire Circle, the exclusive philanthropic giving society for MTSU Athletics. Will also be responsible for tracking the team's major gift fundraising activities, such as monthly and quarterly solicitations, visits, and portfolio reviews. This position reports to the BRAA’s Associate AD, Development & Chief Development Officer. It works closely with the MTSU Foundation staff and athletics leadership to execute fundraising initiatives to raise private donor support for the Build Blue campaign
