Provide academic and wellness support for intercollegiate student-athletes at the University of Vermont. Support the goals and activities of the Department of Athletics Student-Athlete Development program and mission of the overall University. Produce and disseminate academic progress reports for first-year and “at-risk” student-athletes and communicate with coaching staff, administration, and faculty about needs and progress. Serve as liaison to various institutional partners such as, Professional Advising Network, Student Leadership Development Consortium, Living Well, UVM Residential life and Vermont Sports Properties. Implement relevant program initiatives to drive quality of services.
Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Education or related field and two years’ experience required. Knowledge of demands on student-athletes for NCAA Division I athletics program required. Effective oral and written communication skills required.
