The Athletic Financial Analyst will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Accounting, Budget, and Financial Reporting. This position is a specialized role that combines financial analysis with a focus on the sports and athletics industry. This position involves managing and analyzing financial data related to sports teams, athletic programs, or sports organizations.
The Athletic Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and strategic success of athletic programs and sports organizations by providing insightful analysis and strategic recommendations.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Math, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
Relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or financial management
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g. Excel, financial modeling software)
Experience in fiscal operations
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Math, Actuarial Science, or Data Analytics
Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization experience
Workday or ERP experience
Experience in the sports or entertainment industry is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
