This dynamic role offers the opportunity to lead and shape the future of BBCC's intercollegiate athletic programs. As the Athletic Director, you will be at the forefront of planning, organizing, evaluating, and supervising athletic programs and support services, all while building strong connections with the college and the surrounding community.
In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in fundraising efforts, community outreach, and ensuring that the needs of our student-athletes are met through collaboration with various departments and individuals across the college. Reporting directly to the VP of Learning & Student Success, you’ll be instrumental in driving the athletic program’s success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: At the time of application all candidates must possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
At least five years of experience coaching intercollegiate athletics at the college level OR an equivalent combination of coaching and athletic administrative experience as determined by the college
Demonstrated experience in supervising staff, including responsibilities such as hiring, training, evaluating performance, and providing guidance and support..
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Experience working as an assistant athletic director, teaching at the college level, or administrative experience at a college or university.
Experience with fundraising, outreach, or promotional activities.
Big Bend is a rural Community College serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington. The College was founded in 1962 and serves a 4,600-square-mile service district, including all of Grant and Adams counties and a portion of Lincoln County. The campus is on 154 acres adjacent to Grant County International Airport north of Moses Lake.
The service district population of 110,000 lives in 15 primary communities. The college has an FTE enrollment of 2,100 and an annual student headcount of 4,000. Big Bend Community College is a comprehensive community college with programs for academic transfer, professional/technical, and developmental education.
