Winthrop University Athletics is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. Job duties are as follows:
-Monitors and enforces NCAA and Big South rules and regulations.
-Maintains current knowledge of new and pending legislation and rules/regulations related to student-athletes, coaches, boosters and university personnel and disseminates information as appropriate.
-Investigates and reports NCAA and Big South Conference violations to those entities, the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Faculty Athletics Representative.
-Maintains proficiency with ARMS, CAI, LSDBI, the NCAA Eligibility Center and other compliance software programs.
-Ensures compliance with the National Letter of Intent Program and all aspects of NCAA Bylaw 15 financial aid requirements.
-Initiates NCAA certification process and reviews institutional paperwork in regards to student-athlete eligibility and certification; monitors squad lists and other compliance paperwork, especially that related to recruiting, camps/clinics, CARA logs, declaration of playing seasons, declaration of coaching staff and participation reports.
-Creates, maintains and implements division policy and procedures related to NCAA and Big South rules and regulations.
-Creates and implements educational programming for student-athletes, Winthrop staff and other stakeholders.
-Assists with oversight, management and support of student-athletes in their pursuit of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities and provides education, resources and monitoring for NIL activity reporting and data management.
-Assists in preparing and submitting annual reports, including Agreed Upon Procedures, APR Report, EADA Report, NCAA Financial Report and various institutional effectiveness reports.
-Serves as the division’s liaison with the offices of Financial Aid, Residence Life, and Records and Registration.
-Serves as administrator for assigned sports and assists in the overall management of the programs.
