Summary/Objective This position assists the Associate Athletic Director, Communications in publicizing American’s 16 intercollegiate athletic teams and in the writing, editing and publishing of all external athletic channels, in print and digital. This position produces all live-streamed home events. This position works under general supervision. Essential Functions Writes and edits external athletic messaging in order to provide accurate and relevant information to the public and the media. Prepares and provides pre- and postgame information for approximately half of AU’s athletic contests in order to provide accurate and relevant information to the public and the media. Serves as the primary media relations contact for Men’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, and Men’s Soccer.
