The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Communications Assistant to assist with all aspects of the Communications Office, including support and development of public relations initiatives with a heavy emphasis on creating content for social media and FloridaGators.com. This includes serving as the primary contact for men’s and women’s track and field in addition to assisting with football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, volleyball, softball and all other sports as needed. This is a time-limited position with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met. This posting will remain open until filled.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree and experience in a related field
  • Writing and basic desktop publishing skills*
  • Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
  • Ability to work a non-standard work will which will include nights, weekends, holidays, and some overnight travel (to potential conferences or NCAA championship events)

Preferred Qualifications:

• • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
