Wagner College, a NCAA Division I member of the Northeast Conference (NEC), is accepting applications for the position of Media Relations - Graduate Assistant. Enrollment in one of Wagner College’s graduate programs is a requirement of this position. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the Wagner Media Relations staff in the management of rosters, schedules, statistics, and stories for all 26 Wagner Athletics programs, and will assist in the creation of media content.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
•Serve as the primary media relations contact for assigned sports (Sports – TBD)
•Write previews, recaps, and personal interest stories for wagnerathletics.com
•Assist in the creation and management of all Wagner Athletics media
•Utilize social media platforms to enhance the reach of content and engagement

 

Qualifications:

• Acceptance into one of Wagner College’s graduate programs
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field preferred. Relevant undergraduate experience in the field of professional or collegiate athletic communications required
• Proficiency in Desktop Publishing
• NCAA Live Stats/StatCrew scoring software and social media management preferred.
• Knowledge of Sidearm Sports content management
• Must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.

Compensation:

• Graduate School Tuition, Housing, Meal Plan and monthly stipend.
