JOB DESCRIPTION: The graduate assistant is primarily responsible for assisting in the video production, broadcast and streaming of 16 intercollegiate sports at SIUE. The graduate assistant will be the primary contact for streaming all home contests on ESPN+. Duties include camera set up, graphic management, and broadcast production. The graduate assistant also is active in the creative development and production of videos, graphics, and website maintenance. The graduate assistant works closely with the coaches of both the men's and women's athletic programs. Additional duties as assigned.

The graduate assistant in this position will develop skills in human relations, supervision skills, public presentations, and communication and documentation skills. Candidate must be available for evening and weekend events and comply with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Acceptance into SIUE Graduate School; must maintain a 6-12 hour course load per semester
• Evidence of sound organizational skills and strong work ethic
• Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public
• Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills
• Outstanding computer skills

• Previous video production, broadcast and/or streaming experience
• Graphic design and/or Photoshop & InDesign knowledge

PERIOD OF APPOINTMENT: 10-month initial appointment beginning August 1, 2022 through May 31, 2023. The expectation is for a two year commitment to the position through subsequent appointment renewals, assuming success in the position.

SALARY: $913 per month stipend. Includes tuition waiver. GA is responsible for student fees.
