Reporting to the Director of Facility Operations & Event Management, the Departmental Assistant – Athletics Operations Assistant is responsible for providing a wide range of services for the daily operations of 21 intercollegiate sport programs. An integral part of the Athletic staff will assist in the management of all aspects of facility and event operations. Directly oversees those efforts with regard to select sports as assigned by the Director of Facility Operations & Event Management.?

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in sports management or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in facility/event management in a collegiate, professional and/or minor league sports setting.
• Ability to multitask and handle last minute problems and changes.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to develop effective work procedures.
• Well-developed organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to prepare and maintain records.
• Working knowledge of computer programs such as email, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and Adobe Creative Studio (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
