Job Summary

Under general direction of the Assistant Athletics Director, Equipment Room Operations responsible for the day-to-day activities for all sports operating out of the Aggie Stadium and Schaal Aquatics Center. Serve as the lead equipment manager for football. Serve the students, staff, faculty and spectators who are involved in these programs. Perform equipment, laundry, and locker room operations for the equipment rooms. Provide proper care, maintenance and laundry service for Intercollegiate Athletic teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Minimum License/Certification:        

• Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) certified.

Minimum Education/Experience:           

• Bachelor’s Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Experience working with a NCAA Division I football program.
• Equipment managing experience working in Division I Athletics.
• Prior experience in ordering through an all-school apparel agreement; and prior experience working with Coach Comm communication system.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :

• Knowledge and skills to properly fit football shoulder pads/helmets and measuring techniques to properly fit student-athletes for protective equipment; and knowledge of how to operate industrial laundry equipment.
• Computer skills to maintain computerized equipment inventory by making entries and doing basic manipulation of an excel spreadsheet; and skills to do general repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of athletic equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :

• Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules.
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
• Ability to supervise and schedule personnel who have varied working schedules.
