The Catholic University of America, located in Washington D.C., is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant of Athletic Facilities and Operations. The successful candidate will assist in managing the facilities and operations of the Raymond A. DuFour Athletic Center within the philosophy and guidelines set forth by Catholic University, the NCAA, and the Landmark Conference. The candidate will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations.

Applicants must be accepted and enrolled in a Graduate Program at Catholic University. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University as well as a valid driver’s license are required. Previous collegiate playing, coaching/managing, or recruiting experience at an NCAA institution is highly preferred. Applicants must be open to working nights, weekends, and select holidays.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assist in the planning and preparation of Catholic athletic games, events, external rentals, and facilities as assigned.

Serve as the game administrator for select sports.

Assist in hiring, training, and managing student workers and other event staff.

Coordinate game day operations with visiting teams throughout the event while serving as the visiting team liaison.

Assist in planning and scheduling of all departmental sports practices, contests, camps, and clinics.

Assist in the operations of the varsity weight room and equipment room.

Coordinate departmental van transportation scheduling.

Assist in facilities projects around The Raymond A. DuFour Athletic Center.

Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations.

This position provides a stipend and graduate tuition waiver each year (except for the Columbus School of Law and PhD programs). This position runs from August to the end of May for a two year term. The applicant is expected to complete a two year degree as a part of this position. University fees are not included as part of the tuition waiver.
