Additional responsibilities will be Student-athlete centered. Designing and implementing programing to help with the continued growth of the athletic department with a main focus of enhancing the student-athlete experience. As well as, athletics fan engagement to create opportunities and offer value to members of the Suffolk community to broaden and deepen their relationship and engagement with the university and athletics.

Daily Operations of the Athletic Department involve overseeing the management of intercollegiate programs as assigned. Managing and hiring of graduate fellows, overseeing graduate fellow duties. Scheduling of Ridgeway Building facilities including student-athlete weight room, gymnasium and Smith Fitness Center. Game Day Administration as assigned. Liaison between Athletics and Undergraduate Advising. Liaison between Athletics and Counseling, Health and Wellness department. Liaison between Residence Life and Housing.

• Master’s degree is required.
• At least five years administrative/coaching experience (preferably at the collegiate/professional level)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) as well as the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
• Understanding of the NCAA Division III philosophy and rules and regulations
• Strong knowledge of athletic recruiting methods, techniques, rules and regulations
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Be demonstrably committed to the success of student athletes, both on and off the field and in the classroom. Must be willing to place an emphasis on student-athlete experience.
• Must be creative and proactive.   Must have ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle difficult situations.
• Will be required to work nights and weekends.
• Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and assessment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong professional and ethical standards on which to serve as a role model to a diverse student constituency. Ability to build working relationships with students, faculty and staff.
• Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced environment, including ability to work nights and weekends as necessary.
