UConn Football is seeking qualified applications for the Assistant Director of Player Personnel. This position will provide recruiting assistance to the Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, Recruiting Coordinator and Director of Player Personnel. Responsibilities will include: film evaluation of prospective student-athletes; responsible for gathering recruiting information from publications, websites, recruiting services, NCAA Transfer Portal, prepare video for prospective student-athletes for evaluation by coaching staff; assist in the coordination of the walk-on program/on campus recruiting in conjunction with the Director of Player Personnel; maintain compliance with NCAA, institutional and departmental policies and procedures and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree; one year of experience working in a collegiate football program; demonstrated knowledge of recruiting functions and experience supporting recruiting logistics and/or operations; knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; and excellent organizational, communication and public relations skills.
Two years of experience working with a FBS collegiate or professional team; proficient in use of current football technology, specifically related to recruiting software and/or database management; previous experience in coaching/scouting football at the professional, collegiate, or high school level.
This position is a 12-month appointment. Following administrative review, the position may be renewed for a second term.
