Xavier University seeks qualified applications for an Athletic Communications Assistant for the Athletics Department.
Xavier University, a member of the BIG EAST Conference, sponsors 18 NCAA Division I sports and is preparing to add a 19th sport for the 2022-23 academic year. This is a limited term appointment that will serve as the primary contact for either men’s soccer or women’s volleyball and secondary for baseball. This person will also serve as the primary contact for other Olympic sports with assistance from student and interns. Candidates will have the optional opportunity to assist with men’s and women’s basketball. Responsibilities include but are not limited to all communications needs, including social media, website management, game staffing, record keeping, photo schedules, programs, publications, press releases and publicity for assigned sports. Individual will perform other duties as assigned.
This position is a temporary position which may be renewed for a second year, but is limited to a maximum of two years of service.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and possess excellent communications and organizational skills. Student or professional experience in the field and experience with web management, Adobe Creative Cloud and social media (especially Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram) is preferred. Some working knowledge of StatCrew and Genius software programs is also preferred.
