The University of Missouri, a Division I Institution and member of the SEC, is now accepting applications for the full-time, benefit eligible position of Equipment Manager. This position will manage the athletic equipment and apparel for assigned sport(s) and provide for the health and safety of student-athletes while maintaining the daily and competition needs of the University’s athletic program. Enhances the overall efficiency of the Mizzou Sport Park equipment operations by coordinating activities related to purchasing, storage and issuance of athletic clothing, uniforms and equipment to student-athletes, coaches and staff. Oversees the maintenance and repair of uniforms and athletic equipment for assigned sport(s). Oversees property control, tracking and inventory by maintaining accurate records related to daily distribution of equipment and apparel. Performs periodic inventory counts and assists the athletic business office in annual inventory reconciliations. Prepares equipment for travel to away competitions by sorting, counting, labeling and packing of items; oversees the delivery of packed equipment to transporter (i.e., trucks, busses, airplanes, etc.) Assists in the purchasing of equipment and supplies; receives and inspects shipments, reconciles vendor billings with goods received and works with manufacturer to resolve any purchasing discrepancies. Works with coaches to assist in creating and adhering to equipment budgets. Recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate part-time and student workers to meet staffing requirements for assigned equipment room operating hours. Establish employee work rules and policies and ensure compliance with university rules and regulations. Promote the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, to include compliance with all NCAA, SEC, university and departmental policies and procedures.
