McNeese State University is accepting applications for two (2) sports information graduate assistants. McNeese, located in Lake Charles, La., is a member of the Southland Conference and sponsors 14 NCAA Division I sports and is a member of the Football Championship Subdivision.
Position One – Serving as the primary SID contact for the championship baseball program plus other assigned sports while assisting with game day operations for all sports. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Information.
Position Two - Serving as the primary SID contact for the championship softball program plus other assigned sports while assisting with game day operations for all sports. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Information.
Minimum / Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Acceptance into McNeese Graduate School
One year experience in intercollegiate communications/sports information work
Experience in desktop publishing with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects and Lightroom software
Experience in writing, editing and designing effective publications and strong communications skills
Experience with Stat Crew / NCAA Live Stats software
All candidates should possess an ability to meet deadlines and work nights/weekends.
Starting Date: Summer 2021
Notes: 1/2 Tuition Waiver in addition to 15,000 Yearly Stipend.
