Overview The Assistant Sales Manager is primarily responsible for selling various ticket packages and assisting in the overall sales management of the BGSU Ticket Office. The expectation is this person will be a team leader in outside sales and be responsible for prospecting, setting appointments and closing B2B sales. The Assistant Sales Manager will also be heavily involved in other selling activities related to season tickets, partial plans, group tickets, customer service and other ticket products created in the future. The person in this position will also be responsible for assisting the Assistant AD of Ticket Operations in developing and implementing a ticket sales strategy designed to meet or exceed the annual sales goals set forth by senior management.
Responsibilities • Sell season, partial, group and single game inventory for all ticketed sports. • Heavy focus on outside sales and will be responsible for prospecting for leads, setting appointments and closing B2B sales. • Effectively manage various group assets / experiences in order to maximize group ticket sales at all home games • Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly and annual sales goals established by management. • Assist Assistant AD with administrative (ticket office, marketing, development and multimedia) relationship building • Work all home games, performing various ticket sales and service duties throughout the game. • Act proactively to create opportunities for new business with existing customers • Provide superior customer service to clients throughout the season. • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Assistant AD.
Position Terms • 12 Month Position, starting as soon as possible. • Compensation: $2,375 per month. • In addition to regular office hours, the qualified candidate must be available to work all of BGSU’s home athletic events, as well as possible special events. • Successful candidate must pass background check and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration or business field.
Preferred minimum of (1) year experience working in sales with collegiate and/or professional sports team.
Superior communication skills, collaborative with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Results oriented leader with proven ability to motivate people and maximize revenue production.
Must be enthusiastic, creative and able to think both strategically and tactically.
Ability to work in a dynamic, high paced environment.
Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
Strong customer service skills.
Experience working with Paciolan or Ticketmaster/Archtics ticketing systems preferred.
Experience working with CRM systems such as ACT, Goldmine, Salesforce.com, Microsoft CRM, etc.
Willingness and ability to work long hours, including holidays and weekends as required.
