The Athletics Department at Bryant University invites applications for the 2-year, Graduate Assistant position of Compliance Coordinator. Bryant University is an NCAA Division I program, sponsoring 22 varsity sports, and is a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC). This position reports to the Senior Associate Athletic Director.
The successful candidate will be expected to exhibit high integrity, confidentiality and ethical behavior in accordance to NCAA, Conference and Institutional rules. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordinate National Letter of Intent program, participate in monthly NEC compliance conference calls, review and monitor weekly CARA hours, assist in creating rules education materials, approve unofficial visits, review and troubleshoot initial eligibility, approve camps and clinics, assist with administrative work (e.g. filing, writing meeting minutes).
This position requires availability on nights and weekends.
Requires an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. The Graduate Assistant position will require acceptance into Bryant University Graduate School (acceptance must be received before candidate will be considered). Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; previous NCAA compliance/student services experience; demonstrated proficiency with NCAA databases and recruiting software. Exposure to intercollegiate athletics, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills required.
