Nova Southeastern University (NSU) invites applicants for a graduate assistant position in the Athletics Compliance Office. NSU is an NCAA Division II program that competes in 14 sports within the Sunshine State Conference (SSC). This Graduate Assistant position will be responsible for the following: Support the Compliance Department within NSU Athletics, the Sunshine State Conference, and the NCAA. Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters. Update rosters/squad lists as necessary. Assist with initial squad meetings. Assist with NCAA, SSC and NSU required paperwork in presentation and data entry/filing. Maintain student-athlete files and sport specific forms/documents and/or requests. Assist and track in NCAA Certification tests and rules education for staff, coaches and student-athletes. Pull reports and information to distribute to department and coaches. Other duties as assigned. This is a nine-month appointment with the opportunity for renewal of a second year.
Compliance Graduate Assistant Requirements
Students must be energetic, responsible, organized, and motivated to assist the compliance staff.
Students must be prepared to work under deadline and on time sensitive matters.
Student is required to work 20 hours per week, which includes some flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Students must be accepted and enrolled in NSU graduate program when GA appointment begins.
Preferred experience with Microsoft Office Suite and NCAA Compliance Assistant, Eligibility Center and Front Rush Compliance Software
Sports Management and Athletics Administration majors preferred.
