Drake University is seeking an Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance to join the athletics department senior staff team. This individual will report to the Director of Athletics and the University’s Chief Administration Officer. As the Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance, this individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive NCAA Division I compliance operation. The Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance will establish relationships with University personnel involved in student-athlete admission, eligibility, and welfare. The successful candidate will assist coaches, student-athletes, and department staff with the interpretation of NCAA rules and regulations, including policies that ensure compliance with NCAA and conference affiliations. The Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance will be responsible for hiring and managing one full-time exempt assistant director of compliance. As an active member of the department’s senior staff team, this individual may receive sport supervision responsibilities.
1 - 3 years experience in related field
More than 3 years of experience in a full-time position at a NCAA Division I school compliance office, collegiate athletic conference, and/or NCAA national office
