Athletic Director
Northeast Community College
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, management, and administration of the athletic department including planning, budgeting, the development and implementation of procedures, and building campus and community relations. The Athletic Director will work to fulfill the mission of Northeast Community College. This position recruits, hires, mentors, and supervises head coaches. The Athletic Director is responsible for working with coaches on the recruitment and retention of student athletes, with a commitment to student success. This position will oversee the athletic progress of all student athletes and manage eligibility records. The Athletic Director oversees athletic events, the facilities the events are played within, as well as the planning and logistics associated with team travel. This is accomplished by: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) regulations, affiliated conference guidelines, and federal Title IX requirements. Attending national and regional conferences and required meetings. Maintaining positive relationships with student athletes, coaches, colleagues, athletic supporters/donors, faculty, staff and administration. The Athletic Director reports to the Vice President of Student Services.

Qualifications: Education A Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic/Sports Administration, Communications or a related field is required. Qualifications: Experience A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in collegiate athletic administration required. Qualifications: Skills Candidates must be able to demonstrate a commitment to student success, as well as experience and skills in supervision, strategic thinking, community building, fundraising, and budgeting. Additional Salary Information: This position is in salary grade 621, with a minimum starting salary of $67,392 per annum. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range. This position is eligible for Northeast Community College’s excellent full-time fringe benefits package. Cash-in-lieu of Health Insurance may be available depending upon successful candidate’s coverage enrollment.
