Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development, the Associate Director of Development for Athletics is an integral member of the Athletics Development team and is responsible for soliciting and securing leadership level annual gifts as well as major gifts to support the mission of the University and Athletics Department. The Associate Director of Development will cultivate and manage relationships with new and prospective donors, including identifying, soliciting and stewarding donors.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 4 years in fundraising, sales or other related experience, preferred experience in higher education setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Proven success in individual fundraising, sales or other related experience
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and relationship building competencies, and excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated understanding of the complexities of a dynamic organization and the ability to persuasively represent its goals to multiple constituents
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or assignments simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate and work with high wealth individuals
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
Demonstrated experience with and utilization of relational databases and computer systems
Fluency with database systems, Excel, Word and other standard programs
Flexibility and willingness to adjust to a dynamic University work environment
Ability to travel and work evening and weekend hour
