Salary: $60,000- $75,000 Posting deadline: Open until filled DESCRIPTION: The University of California San Diego is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Compliance Coordinator. UC San Diego, located in La Jolla, in the San Diego Metropolitan area, enrolls over 35,000 students, earned recognition as one of the world’s premier research universities, and is ranked as one of the top-10 public universities in the nation. Enrollment Management (EM) is a multi-unit department currently within the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor-Academic Affairs. The Unit is led by the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management (AVC EM), who serves as the Chief Enrollment Officer of the University. EM is comprised of multiple high-profile, core functional units including: the Office of Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid & Scholarships Office, Enrollment Management Technology Services (EMTS), Cal-SOAP, Creative Services, Enrollment Analytics, Parent & Family Programs, and the Business Office. EM’s core functions oversee undergraduate admissions and student outreach, continuing student enrollment management, and financial aid and scholarship management. The Office of the Registrar supports the instructional missions of the University by providing core enrollment service to students, faculty, colleges, academic departments, professional schools and summer session in the areas of academic records, class scheduling, registration, and degree audits. Working independently under the general supervision of the Assistant Registrar, Enrollment Services, the Athletic Certification Officer determines the athletic academic eligibility of student athletes for competition in the NCAA in collaboration with Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA), Undergraduate Admissions, academic advisors, and a broad set of campus stakeholders. This Athletic Certification Officer is critical to maintaining compliance with NCAA rules and regulations, and requires an in-depth understanding of NCAA Division I rules and regulations, Big West Conference bylaws, and UC San Diego academic regulations and policies. The incumbent must maintain documentation of information used to make determinations in accordance with institutional and NCAA requirements and develop procedures and business processes related to the athletic certification process. Responsible for utilizing uAchieve to process certifications and provide the uAchieve team with feedback to ensure the accuracy of degree audits. UC San Diego Athletics has a proud tradition of academic and athletic excellence, sponsors 23 varsity sports, and is reclassifying to NCAA Division I as a member of the Big West Conference. Triton Athletics consistently ranks as one of the most successful athletic programs, ranking among the top 7 nationally in the Learfield Director’s Cup on 13 different occasions and has finished second overall three times.
