This position manages and performs all aspects and responsibilities of the Athletic Department and University’s NCAA and Patriot League compliance program, compiles and communicates necessary information and records for University admissions and financial aid for all prospective student-athletes, and maintains accurate and up-to-date records related to compliance with NCAA, Patriot League and University rules and regulations. Responsible for scheduling and coordinating education of rules by staff and student-athletes including preparing written information about compliance, performs needed research and data collection to answer questions related to compliance under the general supervision of the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance & Internal Operations.
This position reports to the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Internal Operations This position works with all coaches and staff members (in terms of NCAA and Patriot League paperwork and other mandates) under the general supervision of the Associate Athletics Director.
Required Education and Experience
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in NCAA compliance or related areas
The position also requires effective computer skills, effective written and oral communication skills, and familiarity with a recruiting software, preferably Jump Forward and Teamworks
The ability to grasp concepts quickly and thoroughly due to the changing nature of the regulatory process from the NCAA, the Patriot League and the federal government is necessary
Preferred Education and Experience
Prefer athletic department experience as a student-athlete or support staff (e.g.: student manager)
