Men's Golf Coach

The purpose of this position is to operate the Men’s Golf program for student-athletes. Coaching golf is 40% of the position. Other areas of responsibility will be determined based upon the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, student support, teaching/instruction, or facilities management. The golf coach mentors and trains student-athletes and serves as a secondary academic adviser. This is accomplished by recruiting student athletes into the golf program, supervising and monitoring student athletes, planning team travel, scheduling contests, enforcing NJCAA and institutional regulations, conducting practices, and overseeing the golf athletic budget. Other duties include attending booster club events, fund-raising for the Golf program, advising students, monitoring study halls, and hosting summer golf clinics. The golf coach may be expected to transport students in a college vehicle as necessary.

Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. One year of experience coaching golf or a golf related activity; or by playing a minimum of two years in an intercollegiate golf program. In addition, experience in recruiting student-athletes, fundraising, and public relations is preferred. |
Additional Salary Information: This position is in Salary Grade 617, with a minimum starting salary of $51,391 per annum. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range. This position is eligible for Northeast Community College’s excellent full-time fringe benefits package. Cash-in-lieu of Health Insurance may be available depending upon successful candidate’s coverage enrollment.
