We are looking for a Business Coordinator I, to join the our trail blazing Athletics department! This role is crucially important in managing the travel process through Concur, coordinating bowl travel and other travel and account related activities. This individual also provides student supervision. The ideal candidate will have the preferred experience in College Athletics Administration. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years of related experience in general office, accounting, or personnel operations
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
Interpersonal and communication skills
Planning and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Ability to work flexible hours (night, weekend, and holiday)
Travel - Coordinates and manages the travel reconciliation process through Concur. Audits and provides initial approval on each Concur report as it is submitted by traveler to ensure that the report is in accordance with State, NCAA, and Texas A&M rules and regulations. Provides input on policies and procedures as they relate to athletic department travel. Proposes solutions for travel related issues as they arise. Serves as the Liaison with Financial Management Operations in regards to travel related issues. Trains new staff on the functionality and usage of Concur.
Analytical Projects - Provides analytical work on various projects that are assigned by the Assistant Manager or Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations. Meets with various constituents in the athletic department to gather needed information for analytical work to be conducted.
NCAA Host and Travel Reconciliations - Oversees the financial report creation and submission to the NCAA for Host and Travel reports as needed. Coordinates actual expenditures for NCAA Host events with various units around the athletic department to ensure accurate reporting to the NCAA.
Student Supervision - Supervises the daily activities of student workers throughout Athletic Internal Operations. Reviews work provided to students for overall progress and accuracy.
Compliance - Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athletes: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality and other areas as deemed appropriate. Maintains awareness of and supports the diversity and inclusion initiatives of the Athletics Department.
