Regis University’s Department of Athletics is seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant position in its Sports Information office. The graduate assistant will provide essential support services for a 12 sport NCAA Division II athletic department.
The graduate assistant position will be involved in all areas of the department’s external relations with a focus on marketing and game presentation. The position will include, but will not be limited to, developing and implementing a marketing plan for multiple sports, game scripting, and game day planning, as well as events both on and off campus and sponsorship fulfillment. Further, the position will serve as an event manager overseeing work studies and in game promotions, in addition to assisting with sponsorship fulfillment including video boards and game day promotions. The graduate assistant will be expected to attend all home athletic events, selected campus events, and selected off campus events. Other tasks and duties in support of the athletic department will be assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of External Relations.

Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into a Regis University graduate program. Must have proven written and oral communications skills and the ability to talk with multiple groups of people and remain professional at all times. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability accomplish the assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Candidates should possess strong writing/editing skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work hard and learn. They will have to be able to multi-task in a setting with frequent interruptions. Prior experience with Photoshop and InDesign, as well as prior experience in a college athletic department setting, is highly preferred.
Additional Salary Information: The graduate assistant position is a two or three-year assignment beginning with the 2020-2021 academic year. The graduate assistant will receive a total of $15,000 over the calendar year that can be $7,500 each semester.
