The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Division I) is seeking a Fan Experience/Special Events Graduate Assistant. The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of the program, including (but not limited to) all athletic department special events, while playing a vital role in SpectacUALR (largest fundraising event at UA Little Rock) and taking the lead in soliciting auction items for the event, along with assisting the department with Little Rock Trojans Day, Golf Shamble, Lettermen’s Weekend, Student-Athlete Senior Luncheon, etc. The Fan Experience/Special Events Assistant will play a lead role in running the scorer’s table, all on-court promotions during the men’s/women’s basketball season, enhancing UA Little Rock’s student-engagement, student rewards program, Maroon Mob, game-day event set-up for all sports, baseball marketing plan and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Development. While gaining experience in game –day management, marketing, sales and promotions. A bachelor’s degree in sports management, marketing, or a related field is required; 1-2 undergraduate semesters of collegiate sports marketing/administration experience preferred; strong written and verbal communication skills; Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5 p.m. Ability to work nights and weekends as well as some holidays.

Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics marketing, promotions, special events, and/or student activities

Additional Salary Information: $8,000 stipend +full tuition for fall/spring (summer stipend available)
12-month appointment beginning June 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021.
