The women’s soccer coach is a member of the Gillette College (GC) intercollegiate athletics department of the Northern Wyoming Community College District (NWCCD). This position reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs / Athletic Director. Gillette College soccer competes in Region IX of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The GC soccer coach is responsible for managing all operations for the women’s programs to maintain a competitive intercollegiate team. The coach provides leadership and direction to support student-athlete success in the classroom and on the soccer pitch. The coach provides leadership and direction to the assistant coaching staff (volunteer and paid) and is responsible for fundraising for the soccer program. GC soccer will maintain a positive reputation with the community and GC Booster Club under the head coach’s leadership. The soccer coach will be a positive contributor to the athletic department and Gillette College while working closely with the men’s soccer coach to coordinate practice, game, and travel schedules.
The Pronghorn Center Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Pronghorn Center. This position will serve as the point person for approving and scheduling events for college activities in the Pronghorn Center, along with scheduling of community events. This individual is also responsible for oversight of operations in the Pronghorn Center fitness center. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Facilities Department to assure routine cleaning, maintenance, and replacement of facilities and equipment. This position will also serve as the point person for use and development of the video board, video room, and the sound system. The coordinator will have game management responsibilities for all home basketball and soccer games and will serve as administrator in charge at basketball games when athletic director is not present.
Earned baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Demonstrated successful coaching experience at secondary or post-secondary levels or equivalent levels in club venues.
Earned master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Three years of successful coaching experience at the collegiate level.
The ability to recruit student-athletes to a rural community college soccer program.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Demonstrated knowledge of NJCAA rules
Demonstrated experience of running a successful Soccer program
Ability to communicate (written and orally)
Thorough understanding and ability to teach soccer principles
Ability to apply technology and social media platforms to enhance the program
Knowledge and familiarity with recruiting and its associated networks
Maintain working knowledge of and ensure compliance with Title IX and Clery Act Campus Safety Authority guidelines and responsibilities and related college procedures and expectations.
Demonstrated ability to work with technology including video and sound boards.

The Northern Wyoming Community College District has campuses in Sheridan, Gillette, and Johnson County, WY. Athletic teams are housed on the Sheridan College and Gillette College campuses. Both campuses have men's and women's sports in basketball soccer. Sheridan College also has a competitive women's volleyball program. These teams compete in Region IX of the National Junior College Athletic Association men's and women’s programs to maintain competitive intercollegiate teams.
