Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of a Ticket Sales Assistant (Athletics Intern) for the Texas State Athletic Department, under the direction of the Assistant AD for Ticket Sales and Operations. This position is full time and benefits eligible.
This position will be responsible for assisting with the management, administration and supervision of the Texas State Athletic Ticket Office. Specific duties include: outbound sales calls to prospective group and season ticket purchasers, supervise and train ticket office part-time staff, manage game-day ticket sales, assist with ticket publications and marketing pieces, prepare ticket sales reports, assist with season ticket renewal process, comply with NCAA, conference, Texas State and State of Texas rules and regulations and other duties as assigned.
Ability to provide clear, concise written and verbal information Ability to understand and interpret general university policy and procedure manuals Ability to establish rapport with internal and external constituents Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Bachelor’s degree with additional consideration given to applicants who possess a Masters degree Previous experience working in an athletics ticket office Experience using ticketing software Experience in graphic design programs such as Photoshop or Indesign Ability to manage the fiscal affairs of a ticket office
