The University of Arkansas is accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Communications. The Assistant Director of Communications will serve as the primary contact for the softball program, tertiary contact for football and other sports as assigned. The primary responsibility of this position is to support assigned programs in image and brand building to positively impact and elevate the Arkansas Razorback brand. This position will also develop and execute a long-term vision for the communications function within assigned programs.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least three years of experience in content creation, editing, website management, journalism, or related field
Experience with statistical software (The Automated Scorebook, etc.)
Experience in writing game stories and game notes along with editing and designing of media guides and game programs
Experience in Associated Press-style writing skills and proficiency in layout and design software (Photoshop and InDesign)
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher learning
Previous experience working with a Division I softball program and/or FBS football program or professional team
Knowledgeable in Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.)
Experience working with network television to produce games and features
Experience managing a football press box and stat crew
