The University of Arkansas Department of Athletics is currently accepting applications for the position of Athletics Human Resources Manager. This position reports to the Deputy Athletic Director – CFO, and plays a significant role in supporting the Athletics Department by managing all aspects of the human resources and payroll processes in accordance will all applicable University and State guidelines and procedures.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
At least five years of progressive experience with human resources and payroll functions, to include hiring processes, onboarding, payroll processing, and performance evaluations.
Experience working with automated human resource management systems.
Experience with developing and implementing policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Demonstrated intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Graduate degree in a related field
Experience working in a higher education organization
Experience working with Division I intercollegiate athletics administration
Experience working in PeopleAdmin and Workday systems
Experience in a supervisory role
