Belmont University’s Department of Athletics is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position in Operations and Facilities for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 academic years. The successful candidate will serve as game manager for multiple sports, as assigned. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: communicating with officials and game staff; coordinating game day logistics and set-up/break-down; greeting visiting teams and game officials; supervising student workers; working the game table, as needed; and additional duties, as assigned. The selected candidate will also assist in the daily operation and maintenance of the athletic facilities.
Compensation: The Graduate Assistant position requires a two-year commitment beginning with the 2020-21 academic year and includes a tuition waiver of 6 graduate credit hours plus student fees per term (summer terms excluded), up to 24 total credit hours. The position does not include a stipend. Graduate assistants must maintain at least 6 hours of graduate-level credit per semester to be eligible.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into Belmont University’s Sport Administration graduate program. The ideal candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills; have the ability to multi-task, troubleshoot problems, and effectively organize detailed information; maintain calm and professionalism under pressure; and demonstrate an exceptional customer service orientation.
