The University of Missouri is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Graduate Assistantship position in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Reporting to the Mizzou Made Program's Assistant Athletic Director for Student Athlete Development, the graduate assistant will work in all facets of the student-athlete development area. Student Athlete Development graduate assistant responsibilities will include developing and implementing personal development programming, collaborating with community organizations to fill all community service requests, overseeing the Tigers Cup competition, serving as the staff liaison to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, the Student Athletes Fostering Equality committee, coordinating all honors, awards, and scholarships, assisting in the career development center and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Student Athlete Development and staff. Qualifications for position include: Bachelor's degree required in an appropriate discipline, a background in athletics, intent to work in the field of student-athlete development, excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong self-starter, excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail. As working in the field of student-athlete services is not limited to a traditional work week, candidate must be willing to work some nights and weekends. We are seeking candidates willing to expend extra effort to obtain the full experience possible from the position which will entail a significant investment of time and energy. The graduate assistant position offers a tuition waiver and monthly stipend. Appointments will be reviewed annually and comparable funding and duties are available for summer. Expected start date is flexible either beginning January 1, June 1 or August 1, 2020.
