Kents Hill School is at a pivotal moment in its almost 200-year-old history. Our new Head of School has brought a clear educational vision, a global perspective, and a strengthened focus on developing the whole student through a balanced, intentional, and purposeful curriculum. Our athletics and afternoon programs - including 19 different sports, 41 teams, and six activities - is a vibrant and active part of the student experience. Athletes compete in the Maine Association of Independent School Athletic Directors Conference (MAISAD), the New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC), and the Maine Principals Association (MPA).
This position, with a start date of July 2019, is a key coaching, administrative, and external support position within the Athletics Department. This person will join a team focused on building strong varsity programs, solid relationships with facility rentals, and an active and physically involved student body. They will partner closely with the Director of Athletics to build an afternoon athletics and activities program that meets the needs of our diverse student population.
The ideal candidate will coach and actively recruit students for two sports, preferably soccer, lacrosse, mountain biking, basketball, and/or snow sports. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to the scheduling of team transportation, practice times, meals, hotel accommodations, and officials. This position is also responsible for managing the rental of all Kents Hill athletic facilities including; scheduling, drafting contracts, securing payment, and preparing spaces for client use.
The ideal candidate will be a full-time member of the Kents Hill School community and contribute to all aspects of boarding school life.
