Clemson University is accepting applications and nominations for the role of Associate Athletic Director for Facilities Management & Capital Projects. This individual will oversee all Athletic facility and grounds management and development. They will also coordinate all capital projects and assist the Director of Athletics in the development of the strategic direction of the department and its many programs. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES:
30% - Essential - Facility and Grounds Oversight: Oversees the departments of Athletic Facilities and Athletic Grounds. Supports annual budget for facility and staffing needs relative to athletic facilities and grounds. Coordinates all intra-departmental communication relative to facility and grounds management and development. Collects and coordinates input from coaches and other users of athletic facilities to facilitate the planning and renovation processes. Coordinates the development of the Department's master plan for new facility construction and facility renovations. Manages processes of life cycle engineering, specifically deferred maintenance on athletic facilities.
30% - Essential - Compliance and Forecasting: Works with the Deputy Director of Athletics and Associate AD/CFO to present data associated with building projects to include revenue forecasting, debt capacity structure, and impacts on departmental functions. Recognize that rules and compliance requires vigilance and attention in all areas of responsibilities. As such, assist in the conduct of the University's intercollegiate athletics program in a manner consistent with and in compliance with NCAA and ACC and Clemson rules and policies. As a supervisor, stress and ensure rules compliance in assigned areas of responsibility through policy and in the practices of those supervised.
20% - Essential - Communication: Serves as the principle contact for all entities external to the Athletic Department relative to facility management and development. Works with campus legal staff to assess and address risks associated with all athletic facilities. As a member of the Athletic-Department Senior Staff, report on the status of projects.
10% - Essential - Benchmarking: Benchmarks Department facilities in conjunction with the master plan. Conducts benchmarking exercises on a regular basis to report on the status of Clemson Athletic facilities in relation to our peer institutions. Attend project meetings, pre-bid conferences, bid openings, and state-level hearings as necessary.
10% - Essential - Department Leadership: Serves on the Director of Athletics' senior staff. Assists with the development of the strategic direction of the department and its many programs. Represents the department and its administration at events, meetings, and conferences. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree Work Exp 5+ years RESPONSIBILITIES:
