The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is seeking a dynamic innovative candidate to join our marketing team with the ability to thrive in a highly competitive results driven environment. This position serves as the primary marketing contact for assigned intercollegiate sports and as a secondary contact for additional sports; creates marketing, advertising, social media and promotional plans for designated sports. Works collaboratively with GatorVision, Communications, Creative Media and other departments to develop storytelling and marketing materials. Participates in creating brand awareness through advertising and social media. Assists in development of overall athletic advertising campaigns and Media buys, as well as implementing social media strategies, campaigns and presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and various other social applications.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field is required. Experience in marketing, public relations, or communications, social media and creative experience is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment. Requires the ability to excel in a fast paced deadline oriented environment while producing positive accurate outcomes. Must have the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as working successfully as part of a cohesive team. The ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds is essential. The ability to work a non-standard work schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and occasional overnight travel is mandatory.
