GRADUATE ASSISTANT- ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS- Missouri Western State University, an NCAA Division II institution located in St. Joseph, MO, is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications. This position will assist the Director of Athletic Marketing and Communications with coverage of MWSU’s 16 NCAA Division II sports. Duties will include assistance with Stat Crew and Genius scoring software, website updates, publication design, event management, and some marketing. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree, and employment is contingent on acceptance into MWSU Graduate School (2.75 GPA required for admission). Interested applicants should possess good writing and editing skills; knowledge of desktop publishing, preferably InDesign, as well as Photoshop. PREFERRED: Previous experience working in a sports information office and experience working with Stat Crew software. This position begins in August and concludes in May and can be extended for a second year based on academic and administrative performance evaluation. A stipend of $5,000 (paid monthly over 10 months) and full graduate school tuition covering a maximum of 36 credit hours is provided.
