Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for the full-time position of Game Management Intern. This is a 40 hour per week, one year internship which is renewable for an additional year based on performance. Hourly rate $10.33 with limited benefits included.
Responsibilities: Assist the Associate Athletic Director in the coordination and operation of 21 varsity sports. Assist with visiting teams, producing and updating various manuals for regular season and post-season competitions, perform set-up, break-down, and game management for all home contests. Manage student game day staff, equipment, supplies, and resources. Assist with parking coordination for visiting teams. Train and educate staff on proper event procedures in accordance with MEC and NCAA policies. Work closely and develop relationships with multiple department throughout the university. Perform other general office duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Athletics.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management or related field and/or one year of related experience. Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and holidays. Highly motivated with a professional demeanor. Possess strong leadership abilities and be able to provide guests with the highest level of customer service. Ability to focus, innovate, and succeed in stressful situations. Must be organized and able to multi-task.
Preferred Qualification: Master’s Degree in Sports Management or Athletic Administration. Knowledge of EMS Software.
