The Assistant Director, Competitive Sports & Community Programming provides leadership, strategic planning, administration and day-to-day decision making for the delivery of a comprehensive collegiate competitive sports program within the Department of Campus Recreation. Through this work, the Assistant Director is expected to ensure an environment and experience that fosters a sense of community. maximizes opportunities for student engagement and learning that supports the overall well-being of the OHIO community. Primary areas of responsibility will be oversight of the Intramural and Club Sports programs with the additional responsibility of managing the Campus Rec Summer Camp and associated community-related programming components. The Assistant Director of Competitive Sports and Community Programming is expected to promote and facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all efforts of the department, university and community partners to deliver a safe, quality end-user experience with Ohio University.
