Jefferson College is seeking a Director of Athletics to provide overall leadership for a nationally recognized athletic program comprised of six sport teams. Responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of athletic programs; ensuring compliance with all NJCAA, conference, and institutional policies; supervising coaches and other athletic department personnel; overseeing all athletic facilities and events; managing fiscal resources; overseeing athletic fundraising and donor efforts; developing effective working relationships with internal and external constituents; and promoting the growth and development of the Athletic department.
Qualifications: Master’s degree required. Minimum of three years of demonstrated athletic administration work experience required at the collegiate level, preferably as a director or assistant director of athletics. Coaching experience preferred at the collegiate level. Additional athletic experience will be considered. Budget management experience required. Must have the proven ability to supervise and lead staff members. Must demonstrate an understanding of current issues in athletics leadership and a commitment to the academic success of student-athletes. Must display excellent interpersonal communication skills; knowledge of and commitment to compliance with athletic regulations, Title IX, and Clery; and a clear commitment to working effectively and respectfully in a diverse environment.
